Dust Unto Dust (1971)

This 1971 film, “Dust Unto Dust,” is a true classic in the annals of gay erotic film history. Although the soundtrack and visuals were consdierably out of sync with each other, “Dust Unto Dust” — produced and directed by Max Blue (who also produced and directed “Duffy’s Tavern” that same year) — isn’t really a cowboys-and-Indians story, as much as it was a reflection of the influence that the 1960s hippies had on gay culture at the time. Two of the three men in this love triangle were, in fact, real-life partners.
